Overall Program Goals

Save Our Children’s mission is to provide intellectual, social and spiritual enrichment to children and youth in South Elyria. Save Our Children’s approach to program delivery is one that views each child and young person holistically and does not seek to separate participants’ academic achievement, or lack thereof, from the rest of their lives. In this context, the program seeks to cultivate “life-long learners,” individuals who embrace curiosity and who have the skills to actively seek answers, individuals who possess strong social skills and that understand how special and unique they are. Save Our Children’s programs are designed to cultivate the leadership potential of participants and to support them in making a difference in their community as well as to encourage participants to express themselves through the arts.
