After School Program

Save Our Children’s After School Program serves up to 60 children from kindergarten through the eighth grade, the majority of whom attend Franklin and Roosevelt elementary schools. The After School Program runs from September through May and is free to all participants. Program activities for the ASP include homework help, individualized tutoring and skills enhancement, recreational activities, opportunities for self-expression through the arts, and educational games and activities from Monday-Friday of each week from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Each Friday, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm, is designated “Fun Friday”: an opportunity to reward participants for their hard work during the week with an array of activities, from field trips, to cultural events, to arts and crafts activities and/or sporting/outdoor activities. Transportation provided for kids that live in the area.
