SOC Teen Youth Council
The Power of Youth: Making a Difference in their Community.
The Teen Youth Council adventure-year focuses on leadership and service for up to twenty 12-16 year olds. The experience includes training in community service planning and the implementation of tangible community-based projects. Save Our Children’s Teen Youth Council challenges 12-16 year olds to develop their critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills while receiving support for their academic success, self-expression, career exploration and community involvement. The Teen Youth Council creates a window for youth to look into the realm of possibilities for their lives through academic and personal excellence, exploration and visioning for the future, and service to their community.
The Teen Youth Council is made possible through generous support from The Comcast Foundation, The Stocker Foundation, The Nordson Corporation Foundation, The Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office, and through the generous contributions of concerned individuals.
